AAYHC is a Licensed Home Care Services Agency. AAYHC is licensed by the New York State Department of Health. The NYSDOH is our oversight and regulatory agency. We are licensed to provide services in the home for companion care, housekeeping, chore, and personal care. We are licensed to provide care delivered by personal care aides, home health aides, LPN’s, and RN’s. All care provided in the home is done under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Any care provided that is hands on must also have the authorization of a physician.

Our services can be paid for by insurance companies, Medicaid and out of pocket or private pay.

AAYHC has been licensed since August of 2008. We enrolled our first consumer in June of 2009. At this time we are focused on providing home and community support service to consumers who receive care under the TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and NHTD (Nursing Home Transition Diversion) Medicaid Waiver Programs.

In order to provide our consumers with the quality of care they deserve we need to hire and retain quality individuals. The employees who provide this service through a LHCSA such as AAY must be certified Personal Care Aides and Home Health Aides. At AAYHC we hire currently certified HHA’s and PCA’s. This means they have a current NYSDOH certificate as a PCA or a HHA and have worked in the last year as an aide.

If a person has a HHA/PCA or CNA certificate and has not worked in the last year they can apply for our ACD (Alternative Competency Demonstration) training. This is a NYSDOH authorized program where a person who has been a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or has worked as a home care aide (but not within the last two years), can take a test and demonstrate their skills in a classroom setting to a RN and become certified. This is an eight (8) hours class. They receive a certificate as a Personal Care Aide (PCA). Once the person has this certificate they can apply for a position at AAYHC.

All About You Home Care also offers PCA training. This is a 40 hour NYS DOH curriculum class that includes didactic training, demonstration, hands on and written exam. Upon successful completion of this course the person receives a NYSDOH certificate as a Personal Care Aide (PCA). Once the person has this certificate they can apply for a position at AAYHC.
